Artwork, Personalized Paintings, by artist Troy Doyle of Southeastern Minnesota
In The Studio

Artist painting architecture from Minnesota buildingsIn my artwork I try to tell the viewer a story or make them see the beauty in the objects they pass every day. I always try to exaggerate the color and create unique compositions, giving the viewer interesting perspectives. When painting architecture, I want others to see the importance of these great structures, and what they could still be instead of what they had once been. The piece I am working on here is of the First National Bank in Albert Lea, Minnesota. Just like in every town in America, there are several pieces of great architecture that should be treasured. Most likely, you will see this piece go into limited edition prints. The original will be available for purchase.

Over the past few years, many of my art commissions have been what I call personalized pieces. With these pieces, people have the opportunity to share their story. I begin by interviewing the client to try to find out who they really are. I want these pieces to go beyond something like placing their name on a bottle of wine or building. I want to share their beliefs, passions and their story. My goal for these personalized pieces is to give my clients a truly unique piece of art - something the whole family can treasure. I want the piece to reflect them. At the same time, I want to be able to take something valuable away from the process that I can apply to my life. To me, my work goes beyond wine. It reflects friendships, moments shared, appreciation ... The Good Life.

On the Artwork by Doyle page many samples of these personalized works are displayed with the story.
