A Compliment to Passion
Acrylic 36x48 When I first saw the bold gold letters COPPOLA I thought is Francis Ford Coppola actually involved with this or might he just be lending his name to this product? While having dinner at Crescendo, I began to look at the all of the rich, warm, yet vivid colors. Colors ranging from a dark blue almost black ceiling, to the rich warm somewhat chocolate woodwork, to the black grand piano and warm terra cotta walls. What a great place to hang a picture of something with the same flavor! The Diamond Series Labels of COPPOLA were the perfect match. That thought stayed with me for quite a while. One evening while paging through a Wine Spectator magazine, an advertisement for Neibaum-Coppola Vineyards caught my eye. This ad highlighted the rich history of the vineyard, and was enticing enough for me to inquire more about this man. I found out that the Coppola’s lend more than just their name to this wine. They have bestowed their passions to it. Their dedication to reunite and preserve the original Inglenook Estate with its massive stone chateau along with the adjacent vineyards is applauded. Their desire and ability to rebuild what once was with its distinctive tasting rooms, vaulted stone cellars and spectacular hand carved staircase crowned by a jewel like stained glass window is to me...perfection. These are some of the reasons I enjoy this painting so much, it reminds me of the Coppola’s passion, love of heritage, and just doing things the way they should be done. "In America, so few things that are broken apart are ever put back together. Reuniting this property is truly a dream come true, both for my family and for Napa Valley." - Francis Ford Coppola
