Love Life and Great Things
“Love Life and Great Things” Acrylic 30x40 This piece is about a man who lives well, loves wine and considers himself a lucky soul. In 1983 the airplane he was on a a passenger needed an emergency landing. After this event, he wrote “101 Things To Do,” meaning before he dies. This list of goals range from very ordinary to extraordinary and from personal to financial. This list has been published verbatim in newspapers and magazines. He stated, “I have enough toys, what I find interesting is what makes a good wine. The soil, the different types of grapes, the aging of the wine.” He also stated, “To appreciate a cellar you have to be willing to learn. To me that is the fun of this. The food, the conversation, the learning. As you can see the corks adorn the number 101 for things to do, plus the phrases “Lucky Soul” and “One creates ones own Luck”. These labels not only have this mans name but icons that re-enforce his greek heritage the date his life changed 1983, and what he feels is great about wine... Instead of requesting to use this persons name and story we created our version of this piece. Chaunceux or luck is my version of creating my own luck and creating my own list of things to accomplish.
