Golden Elixir
“Golden Elixir” Acrylic 30x40 Golden Elixir is a reflection of solving the worlds problems with my father-in-law Terry or as I call him Mr. Wizard. Elixir is in reference to one of our favorite stories, “The Lost Blend” by O’Henery. The story is about a few barrels of booze. The first barrel was a gut wrenching blend that wasn’t worth drinking. The second barrel was then set aside and forgotten about. Obviously after many years of aging the second barrel becomes the Golden Elixir of battle money and high life. O’Henery has a way of describing this Elixir that would make anyone desire such an experience. The phrase, “Every Generation has a Golden Opportunity,” refers to what Terry continuously states to me about pursuing my dreams and goals. The lion is a sign of strength, therefor asking the question, do you have the strength to recognize and pursue the opportunities that present themselves.
